Training second-grade dyslexic students using a computerized program in Asyut, Egypt

Abstract Background Dyslexia is characterized by difficulties in spelling and reading. The aim of this study to identify domains cognitive strength weakness students with dyslexia the effect an especially designed computerized training program on their reading abilities. This was conducted 2nd-grade primary school Asyut city, Egypt ( n = 560). Identification done using Arabic Reading Achievement test a newly constructed Cognitive Abilities diagnostic battery for (CADB-R). Training applied Computerized abilities (CATB-R). Results prevalence 13.9% N 52/373), it higher among girls (15.8%) than boys (11.7%). After application program, there significant increase post-training mean scores CADB-R score total all sub-items. Conclusions All struggling readers should be included well-tailored research-based rehabilitation programs.
